alalanet

Transparency log

Everything alalanet states about a service — status changes, daily uptime, live checks — is a signed Nostr event appended to a public append-only log (C2SP tlog-tiles, built with Tessera). History can be checked, not rewritten.

Verify a statement

  1. Get it: GET /v1/attestations/{event_id} (or the MCP tool get_attestation).
  2. Check the Nostr signature (NIP-01) of event against the signer key above.
  3. Leaf hash = SHA-256(0x00 ‖ bytes of event_json). Recompute the root from proof.hashes (base64, RFC 6962) and compare with proof.root_hash.
  4. Verify proof.checkpoint with the log verifier key (C2SP signed note). Keep checkpoints to detect a forked log later.

Independent witnesses will co-sign checkpoints once our log joins the public witness network.
